Jarrett Laskey at www.laskeyguitar.com is a classically trained professional musician performing a varied repertoire of elegant classical music standards, Spanish/Latin guitar music and many arrangements of contemporary music. Jarrett’s guitar music has created the perfect ambience in hundreds of various events over the past several years in the greater DC/VA/MD/WVA/PA areas for wedding ceremonies/receptions, business functions, cocktail hours, brunches, wine-tastings, etc. Performing in many settings from National landmarks/historic mansions/country clubs/ finer hotels to vineyards and art galleries. He is listed as a Preferred Vendor at many popular wedding venues such as 2941 Restaurant, Meadowlark Gardens, Tudor Place, Tabard Inn, as well as recurring performances at many local music venues brunch/event series, at L'Auberge Chez Francois and other locations. He has also won the Bride and Couples’ Choice award on Wedding Wire for the last 10 years running.
Jarrett will learn a song for you if not already in his playlist and is willing to review and guide your music selections to produce the right performance atmosphere you envision for you and your guests.
Wireless mics/ handheld mics can also be provided as well as additional musicians such as violin or guitar.

Before earning a BFA in Music Performance at Carnegie Mellon University, Jarrett was studying privately with local VA university professor Larry Snitzler, a direct student of Andres Segovia. More recently studying with Berklee College professor Berta Rojas, and participating in Masterclasses with musicians Jesus Silva, Franco Platino, Angel Romero, and Pepe Romero.

Yes. I use an amplifier that will enhance the sound to provide either a discreet background or louder ambiance for large indoor enclosures/crowds. I can also provide a battery powered amp for outdoor settings with advanced notice.
Yes, I have worked with a number of vocalists and instrumentalists such as violin, guitar, cello, etc as needed.
Yes. I am very open to learn any new piece you may want to hear if it's not already in my extensive repertoire. I ask for at least 30 days' notice. I have accommodated special requests from classical music to popular music pieces and even movie themes for brides.
I bring my amplifier and music stand, so I will just need to have an armless chair, and relative close proximity to electrical source, unless otherwise prearranged.
Yes. I will assist in planning the ceremony music and cocktail hour with you. I can walk you through the various selections of the typical wedding ceremony and make musical suggestions for each phase.
Yes, I provide up to 30 minutes of prelude music as guests are arriving prior to the wedding ceremony, as part of my wedding package.
I don't charge for travel if the performance location is within a 25-mile radius of my home. If your event is taking place outside this range, a travel fee will be added to your estimate.
Dark Suit, or for formal events, a Black Tuxedo can be provided. Typically the tuxedo is only requested for events occurring after dark.
